Aunt Clara's Caramel Corn

Aunt Clara's photographAbout

Our great Aunt Clara was a sweet, gentle soul, an old fashioned girl who grew up in a large family during the great Depression. When she was young, Clara's mother died and her Aunt Ida came to live with them and raise the children.

Clara helped Aunt Ida a great deal and never had much of a social life of her own. She never married, so her family was very dear to her. What a wonderful welcome we got whenever we would go to visit her tiny downstairs apartment with the big, beautiful porch. We would sit on the porch if the weather was good and enjoy her treats and lemonade while enjoying some lively conversation.

We can still hear her giggle if we stop and "listen." She was always tickled pink to see any of us. She's been gone quite a few years now and we thought this would be a wonderful memorial to our favorite aunt. Aunt Clara we miss you ...................
